Dude, I was playing .5/1 last night with some novice friends, too. Is this how bigger games were pre-legislation? I made 100+ big bets in 1000 hands. $100 for toolin' around with your high school pals rules.

After I filter my month to not show the first day of a drunk/tilt session...I am runnin at 3BB/100 so far this month at .5/1.

Why is it that I seem to be drawn to poker after drinking/

I never understood why people play AK/AQ this way. Can somebody explain villains thought process to me. Is he slowplaying preflop? What's the purpose of the turn raise? Does he suspect that he might have the best hand and is raising it for value, or is he bluffing with the best hand.?

have any of you guys done the blind defense quiz from Stox' book?

it appears that I am defending too light vs EP raises and not light enough vs LP raises

ie according to stox based on hand equities I should be defending T2s vs a 40-50% button opener but folding J8o 89o vs a 20% HJ raiser
