Default Let Me Introduce You To... HEAVEN

Some of you might have heard of this before, but it was new to me when I was reading a Yard House menu... a beer float.

I've never heard of such a thing, mainly because it sounds disgusting. I mean, Bud Light already tastes like crap but I can't imagine adding ice cream to it would make it taste any better.

The Yard House serves Young’s Chocolate Stout with vanilla ice cream and Lindeman's Framboise with vanilla ice cream. This really peaked my interest because I'm a big Framboise fan. I recently got my roomie into it and he came home with a few bottles from the corner store by my place, which sells the 25oz ones. On the way home from the casino today, I picked up a couple of the small Ben & Jerry's vanilla ice cream.

While Criminal Minds is on, I decided it was time to pop my cherry. What better of a way to celebrate watching something other than news on wildfires than with a glass of HEAVEN?

Please pardon the lame Detroit Redwings glass and the crappy xheesecake. If you can overlook that though, you'll see the HEAVEN that is in that glass.

This thing is PURE HEAVEN and a definite for anyone to try who hasn't yet. If you've never had Framboise itself before, go out and get yourself one right now.

I've read a little bit on the internet and I've seen Youngs served with chocolate ice cream and I've also seen oatmeal stout with vanilla ice cream.

Who would have ever thought beer and ice cream would create such tranquility?

I've seen recipes for Guinness Ice Cream and it sounds fantastic. Never got around to trying it though.

Beer float is probably the second beer concoction that I will try after beer + clamato.

personally i like the chocolate stout + ice cream combo better. always get it at yard house, considering its only 75 cents more than the normal beer.

I have tasted Guinness ice cream. It was decent, but not great. The establishment I got it at also sells durian ice cream, which I did not step up and try at the time. Maybe in the future.
