WTF spot in a RR pot
I don't have a HH for the hand. Relevant reads are the co is 20/16 and I've seen him 4 bet someone in a good spot to do so one time, the guy folded so IDK what he had.
Btn has been 3 betting a decent amount in position, but not enough that I think he's been doing it with suited connectors or anything crazy., My image is about 21/17ish and I've squeezed / 3 bet a few times, never with a showdown, double barreled a few times, no showdowns, delayed cbet a few times, no showdowns. No hands of note played vs button before this one. Eff stacks are ~$1100 CO opens $35, BTN SNAP calls, hero raise J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] to $150 in the SB, BB folds, CO folds, BTN calls. flop ($380) Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] hero checks, BTN checks. turn ($380) 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] hero bets $200, BTN raises all-in to $900ish. Given my turn bet should I call here? I don't think he can put me on a hand here other than maybe AcXc or something like that. |

Re: WTF spot in a RR pot
Why would you consider this to be a bet/call spot?
I think he could play JJ or other mid pair hands like this. Add in the times he has turned a set and flopped the nf and this begins to merit a fold. |

Re: WTF spot in a RR pot
No reads/stats on the villain?
A guy who is coldcalling a raise like this has either a pair, like 22-TT, or a big ace that he slowed pre-flop, like ATs-AQo, or maybe KQ. That's at least what I've experienced. I really think he'd bet all his sets on this board, since you might be C/Ring him, furthermore I think he'd also bet his Ac. Hands that might check behind and shoves this turn could be: A made flush, the nuts obv. KQ with the K of clubs, or maybe without it, and 66. So I'd put him on KQ, a flush, 66 or just a bluff, since yes, you have shown weakness. So you beat only his bluff which prolly doesn't make up that big part of his range? I say this mainly because a bluff would appear at the flop at some times, which it didn't, so he's less likely to bluff the turn here I think. Theres like 1480 in the pot and it'll cost you another 700, so in rough terms he gotta be bluffing more than 30% for you to call profitably, someone do the EV pls, I just woke up. |

[ QUOTE ]
bet/folding is burning $200. [/ QUOTE ] it's not great but it's far from burning money. i'd bet the flop and probably be done with it after that. |

Re: WTF spot in a RR pot
bet flop > c/c some where > c/f > bet call > cr
...imo obviously this depends on the turn and river but you catch my drift |
