Another cash-game series to be televised

...the producers of Ultimate Poker Challenge will be filming Cash Poker: The Big Game. It's a $75/150 NL game with a $25 ante. The minimum buyin is $25,000 and the maximum is $100,000.

Well at least they're doing something original with this show....

...and it's not televising the cash game, it's charging the players to play instead of paying them for their appearance as HSP does.

I don't see them filling a max of two tables with a show that'll be airing mainly overnight weekends in slots usually filled by infomercials.

The UPC (from the same company) gets stars to play, especially for their higher-buyin events, and I think its ranked in the top five poker shows. This show would produce even better ratings I'm guessing. I don't think they'll have a problem filling the seats. Although that $1K fee is a discouragement.
