Default How much would it cost to start a sports betting website

I was recently asked the question how much do I think it would cost to start a gambling website. First of all, me, nor the person who asked has any desire to do this. All I could tell him was that I know they would have to move to a country that allows gambling websites, like Costa Rica or something. I don't post on here a lot, and I don't know if this was the right place to post it. If it isn't let's just move on and pretend I was never here. I was just interested to here if anyone at all might have an idea about this. Also, I googled it and didn't find anything. Thanks.

Its not as easy to do anymore. You used to be able to get real nice turn key sites with a respectable company for $5K who would manage everything and you could operate under their licenses from there you could gain more controls and get upgrades, pricing for these ranged up to about $100K.

Those days are long gone now and I really no no clue what it might cost to get into the industry as an independent online operator.

If you were just looking to be an agent then there are plenty of places to do this at just a per head cost.

Thanks Prop. There are parts of that would think it would take very little money, relatively speaking. You could throw in some casino games, and the fact that most gamblers are losing gamblers you should be up a little in no time. But then I think, you could be cleaned our real quick like that if just one or two people hit a redonkulous Parlay, or something like that.

The cost of building the site from scratch, with proper security, and a real design process before building it, would be over a million at least.

Your bankroll and marketing costs are separate from that.

I would've guessed much lower although I'm admittedly clueless.

I am an agent and use PPH. It is really easy and it does all the work for you. Not so much with my close clients but for the ones i hardly know its nicer that we don't have to talk that often and its just betting.. also starting a huge sportsbook nowadays is very very pricey I have looked into it
