Default Re: Is casino bonus whoring easier than poker bonus whoring?

This figure surprises me. I don't doubt that you can earn this monthly but from my own experiences I'd never be able to find a range of sign up bonuses and monthlies to get near this amount. Is it just a matter of trawling through the Internet for the best offers?

Pretty much. Almost one fourth of my time is spent researching offers (both finding them and checking out the rep of the casino as well as discussing the offer with fellow casino baggers).

I lost about $1000 this and last month trying to clear casino bonuses. I guess it's variance, but it doesn't feel a safe way of making money.

Mathematically, casino bonus bagging is a consistant way of making money. However, you need to grow to accept the variance along the way and more importantly you need to believe in the maths behind the bonus offer... even when you are losing.

Therefore there isn't much else I can say to you other than to keep playing +ev offers, don't tilt and play within your bankroll/risk temperament.

There are a lot of sites that without sufficient research can give you tens of thousands of bonuses a month, but you'll find they stiff a large percentage of the players. Maybe you've gotten lucky so far, but any site that changes its T&C's in a matter of days/weeks is not likely a big site, and most likely will stiff people.

I find that the harder I work, the luckier I get ... Seriously, it isn't a luck thing. I make a real effort to avoid risky casinos. I do this by cross checking a casino's reputation on a number of forums/review websites before I deposit. There are three or four reputable and active review websites/forums that are dedicated to checking up on and lengthily discussing the reptuation of online casinos/sportsbooks/pokerrooms.

That is why I am rarely nervous about depositing my money into a casino and (touch wood) I have so far never had money withheld from me (although admittedly I do have to jump through hoops now and then with certain casinos simply to get my money back out). Basically, I have never been the one to go in and 'Guinea pig' a new casino offer (this is where you jump in to test the water, then report back) no matter how lucrative the offer may look.

Seems like a high number for sure.
I counted every monthly on the beatingbonuses page and there was only EV of +2k, not counting exhange fees since the bonuses are given in 3 different currencies. Then you have to play every casino game and also take a few stickys, whatever optimal strategy for that is.

First of all, yes my monthly return is definitely a high number, one that surprises even myself. But it is on target ev wise, so it is not a case of my 'running good', simply 'running in line with ev'. To be frank, I have no idea how long I can maintain this kind of return for... but I stay cautiously optimistic. Investing extra time into this has made all the difference in my monthly returns.

Secondly, beatingbonuses is great in that they have a lot of offers on its list, but simply glancing at their monthly bonus offers list, they have missed out a number of weekly offers (which isn't their fault, it would be almost impossible for anyone to keep a list of every single +ev offer out there all in one place, hence my visiting many different places to find out what bonuses are currently on offer).

Also, when you are a regular at a casino, you also get on the lists for various VIP bonuses (offers that aren't available to everyone). At most casinos, getting on the VIP list can be hit or miss, but when you find yourself on two or three VIP lists, then that is a substancial amount of extra +ev you have just added to your bottom line.

There are also semi-recurring bonuses offered to everyone (usually they offer these as an incentive, to invite people back into their casino, when a major sporting event is on... for example recently the Rugby World cup offered up a load of emailed offers).

Lastly, there is an optimal strategy for sticky bonuses... in layman's terms, it mostly revolves around how much risk you are willing to take when clearing a sticky. And yes, I do play pretty much every game, depending on what the wagering requires (that is why I stressed that the OP learns casino games outside of blackjack).

Careful though - get use to the differences between cashable and sticky bonuses. The strategy for each is different. And go via Affiliates to get kickbacks. Don't use the site links cos they will keep the kickback themselves.

Talking about poker bonus whoring why don't you try PokerSourceOnline or PokerSavvy. They offer some really nice bonuses for micro stakes. Wingows, Carbon via PSO and Noble via Savvy. Good luck.
