So you make an illegal forward pass and get another shot?

[/ QUOTE ]

why not? There were two second on the clock.

[/ QUOTE ]

So, if I'm a receiver, and I can't get out of bounds, I can just chuck the ball forward and get a clock stop?

[/ QUOTE ]

There was a whole thread on this a while back IIRC.

It's pretty amazing that Miami is 0-11 while San Fran is 3-8.

Sorry if this was already mentioned (I searched for "straight" and "soccer"):

I hate to sound like my Dad (he's 75) but in situations like this, isn't there someone on the team who kicks straight-ahead for [censored] and giggles, and won't they stand a better chance than a soccer-style kicker?

we're going to have to find edge34 to answer that one for real

but my thought is that straight-ahead kicking is only marginally easier than soccer style. you still need to take a few steps, plant, etc

Yeah, probably, but they're really not as bad as 0-11.

[/ QUOTE ]

I keep hearing people say this (and see it on FO), but looking at their stats and watching the games really make me think they are way worse than the 49'ers, who are obviously terrible as well.

The Dolphins are a really bad team run by a really bad coach. I don't know why people think they are any better than 1-10 at the absolute most.

but you need to be really, really, really bad + super unlucky to not luckbox your way to a win by now, and I don't think the Dolphins are that bad
