Default Set facing river checkraise

Pretty much no reads on villain.

People I have talked to have said "That's a very easy X", with x being both call and fold.

Call.

I think the naked A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] does this enough to make it a call.

If he missed getting chips from you with the nut flush on the turn, they usually bet the river to get some value.

If he's ballsy enough to check twice with the nut flush, good for him, make a note.

I doubt he does this a non-nut flush or straight.

Nuts or nothing....probably nothing.

Regards,
Woodguy

i agree that it's a very easy call or fold. considering they are your only two options.

ryanb, checking behind is totally results oriented.

thayer, i think villain does this with too many hands you beat. it's a tight call, i don't think it's easy by any means, but you kinda have to make it.

Bah, such a sick spot, you don't need to be good very often but I don't think you even have that. I probably convince myself villain isn't checking the river after missing his turn c/r and call but I think I prefer folding.

I agree with "nuts or nothing", but without a read I think it's the nuts at least 75% of the time.

Edit to add: I think checking behind on the river is weak.

i think in spots like this its fair to say people are almost never bluffing. the reason i think you have to call is he might be trapping you with a smaller set.

a big pair with a spade or as qx is a likely holding you have that he can check raise the river against.

I feel like it's a call but... wouldn't you expect him to bet the river with nothing?

Why not? Its a 50+5 where there's a lot more classic/[censored] slow playing going on.

for reasons i can't fully explain this hand reminds me of a limit he type hand where you might cr the turn vs an aggro opponent.

i'm not saying he definitely has a set, just that its certainly not impossible.
