The villain here is an Asian woman who does not appear to play very well. We have established a bit of history while we were both in a 20 game waiting for the current 40 game. First, she witnessed me iso-raise a limper with T6 soooooted on the button and flop a straight, and made a snide remark after the hand (she was BB and had folded preflop). A couple of orbits later I open-raised KJo on the button, she defended her BB with QTo, c/c JTxx flop and turn and bet out on a T river, then smugly showed her hand and gave me a condescending look (I did not show my hand).

Anyhow we're now in the same 40 game. I open raise 77 UTG, she coldcalls from LP, blinds fold. Flop is KT7r. I bet, she raises, I 3-bet, she 4-bets, I 5-bet, and she says "nai han" and calls. I dark bet the turn, which happens to be a K, and she raises.

At this point, is a 3-bet mandatory or spew? That is, does she have KT always here or is our limited history enough for her to go apeshit on the flop with KQ/KJ (I imagine she would have 3-bet me preflop with AK/KK/TT ~ 100% of the time).

Granted, this is a very live-oriented, opponent-specific situation, but any comments/insights would be appreciated.

'alright ni han' just always means "well [censored] all if you can beat this hand, I guess i just call down though"

In other words it's pacified strength. I think she has KT tons and tons and that 3betting is pretty bad. Also consider that her AK now only additionally beats T7 and AA. She can't feel too much better about her hand if she's done any hand reading at all.

Her entire range of reasonable hands beats yours so just call down.

Well if she has KT every single time, don't you have to fold?

Is this full ring or short-handed somehow? I'm thinking full ring, and I'm almost always folding this UTG given what I know about Bay 101 40/80 game quality. Raising seems spewy. I might limp if the table is loose enough to encourage limpers--which I don't think is often. Thoughts?

I'd 3-bet only if you can fold to a 4-bet, but given the dynamic described between you two, that would be bad.

Let's think about it. If you're ahead, you'll lose out on one bet, and if you're behind, you'll lose two more (given you won't fold). And another consideration: if you are ahead, your hand won't hold up to the river as often as when you're behind and then hit your one-outer.

If she's overplaying her K, let her. It seems like an easy call down (given no T or 7 shows).

She bet a river ten, she didn't even try to CR it, you guys think she's 36 betting the flop and then raising the turn here with KJ ever?
