No reads? I think I call and see what he does on the turn. Seems like a 3-bet is going to pretty much commit you to calling a shove and you are probably behind more than stacking 99-JJ.

Gotta peel here, we have too much equity and position, you're up against a draw enough here to see the turn, but as mentioned we don't have to commit just yet, read his turn, he's in an ugly spot if a brick comes off.

reads? buy-in? number of entrants? etc. etc.

anyway... I'd put him on 22-TT maybet JJ, AJ, AQ barring reads. I think i'd reraise and call a shove which mean i stack off to a set or KK/AA if he played them like that.

reason being... most cards that come on the turn are gonna make ur situation worst or kill ur action. so get it in now.

my 2c.

Since there are a lot of turn cards that might kill the action, i think i'm 3-betting to ~4-4.5K here. Since your flop lead was kinda weak, he could be doing this with a lot of his range. I'm happy to take down the pot now, or happy to get it in (unless SB is very good.)

Why not just call and let villain keep betting the worst hand?

This may have been an option if SB lead out on the flop, but after the c/r this would be pretty bad. If u just call, you haven't narrowed his range. You might be forced to give him a free card (for his draws) if an A or K hits on the turn, and he's only putting more money in on a diamond turn/river when he's ahead.

3-bet, please. get it in before a scare card turns.

people rarely fold overpairs, especially in the assumed mid buy-ins.
