-i'd bet/call the flop b/c no one c/r a strong hand on this board What I don't understand why everyone is saying check or bet/call the turn... it would take a huge bluff to c/r something other than a 9... not to mention if the villain chose to bluff he'd prob do it with a hand that had decent equity against us. So bet/call seems out. I hate the check on the turn because you are missing value on draws. If you assuming he isn't c/r bluffing on the turn (seems pretty safe to me) then it seems you are missing out on a lot of value against a large portion of his range. Also if you are so scared of the 9... betting out here and getting raised costs the same as calling the river, so why not value the drawing portion of the villains range?

PF: Pretty standard call, IMO.
Flop: Bet/call seems awfully standard here. I'm more than happy to get it in, in this spot. Turn: When I'm running good, I just keep blasting away here, and don't ever fold. I see people call down with AT and crap all the time, or show up with a weird bluff. Checking and planning on picking off most river bets looks fine too. EDIT: heh, somehow I kinda skipped over reads. Flop play still holds, but I'm a lot more likely to check vs a decent reg. On the river, you can fold on a blank sometimes.

Wouldn't this hand warrant a raise? and this guys is 27/23, he's obviously raising lite. I think i'd be happy to 3-bet this pf. As played, bet flop, check turn, call most rivers... you did your job in keeping the pot reasonable by checking the turn, allowing you to call river bets. If he has trip 9s, so be it.

pf call; rather rep a worse hand by calling than rep a good hand by raising when if he calls i could be on planet reverse implied.
flop bet obv bet. fold to check raise. turn check, you dont want to risk being semi bluffed off the best hand. if your betting for value, there isnt a great deal that's calling you. better to induce a bluff from him on river or if he checks river, he may think you made a standard stab on the flop, and so are now bluffing river and youll get called by hands you wouldnt of on turn. river call if he bets for reason above, if checked to value bet for reason above.
