All,

FYI, from Howard Treesong in other thread:

"The card gods are smiling on me, baby. By the way, Diablo, the bet is official. I received coin from Mike McClain and set up an escrow today: my $40K versus his $5K."

Howard and others,

"1:00pm--Justin Bonomo, after a strong start to the day, just busted in 11th place, running his huge stack and pair of kings into Isaac Haxton's AA."

He was in second place with 11 left.

Thanks for the heads-up, but I am firewalled away from 2p2 at my work. This is probably a good thing. You may have ruined my year, Diablo, just for the sweat time I'm going to surely put into this.

Did ZJ win the $2500 second chance tourney in Atlantis for 6 figures?

Grinder is on the board first: he's second in chips at the $5K circuit event with 377 entrants, so he can score as many as 1440. Although ZJ won the second-chance tourney at the PCA, the CP criteria expressly say that second-chance tourneys don't count. Who am I to question the wisdom of the almighty Shulmans?

wtf EVERYONE is overestimating how good zeejustin actually is and severely underestimating how much luck he must have had during his 2006 run. i would take the against for almost all these bets, if i could.

when el d said "top 10 is pretty much a lock.. so i'll take bets against if im given good odds" or whatever. i had flashbacks to the nickrainey tennis thread.

65. Alvarado limps from the button and Tran raises an additional $150,000. Alvarado moves all in and Tran makes the call. Alvarado shows A6 and Tran turns over 1010. The board comes K998J and JC Tran wins the pot, eliminating JC Alvarado from the tournament.

JC Alvarado finishes in second place and earns $366,798.

JC Tran wins the World Poker Challenge and earns $683,473 as well as a $25,000 entry into the WPT Championship Event.
