The jealousy is running think in sporting events
Fact: I'm enjoying the hell out of this run Fact: I have been a die hard Rockies fan for 7-8 years Fact: I've been to an average of 5-6 games a year over that span before moving to Dallas Fact: THERE WAS NO REASON TO EVER CREATE A THREaD IN SPORTING EVENTS..... we've been bad. I mean I've enjoyed the team and have held out hope, but what would the thread have contained? Do you want Devil Ray and Royals and Rockies and Pirates and Rangers threads at the top of sporting events? Really? They'd be OH so interesting. "well, we lost again.... well, see you later" The Brewers thread didn't get started until their team was like 5 games up in the division..... we don't have the legacy, the prowess and the media attention that New York and Chicago and Boston do. It's just the facts of the matter. What we do have??? A young exciting and very talented baseball team that is easy to jump on, so Colorado is ponying up and realizing what they have. And that's a bad thing? Please. I haven't had the heartache the Cubs fans have had, the expectations of success tha the Red Sox/Yanks have, but what I do have is a love for baseball and FINALLY have something to be really excited about. I seriously don't know what the rest of y'all want from us. If you are just pissed the D-Backs/Rockies are in the NLCS, then fine I understand that but don't yell at us and berate us for posting and getting excited about a freaking awesome baseball team. This run has been special and god forbid some people notice and jump on.

If San Diego wanted to pitch Peavy in Game 1 of the NLDS, they should have learned how to beat scrubs in Milwaukee who had nothing to play for, the last day of the season.
Or, better yet, they should have figured out how to win one out of three home games against the Rockies.

if the Red Sox play the Dbacks in the WS, my guess is that 30% of the people in Arizona will be Sox fans.
plane ticket to Arizona + hotel + WS ticket in Phoenix << WS ticket in Boston
