It's the first time that a hand like this gets commented like this. I like!
Hands like these happen SOOO freaking often and are hard to play.
A drawheavy board where you hit top pair with a good kicker.
If you reraise you're commiting yourself, if you call, you know nothing.

Maybe this hand should be redirected to a higher stakes 6max forum?

Exactly, everyone who wants to call once and hope for the best needs to come up with a line for this turn, because calling the flop and folding this turn is unacceptable.

Its not. You made that turn up. Its not going to be the line this villain takes. If you say it is, then prove it.

Too many people think calling here is just wrong because thats what they've been told. As much as I hate it the correct play is to call and re-evaluate on the turn.

Time for Pokerstove:

Board: 9c 5s As
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 38.394% { AhQc }
Hand 1: 61.606% { 99, 55, A9s+, KsQs, Ts9s, 9s8s, AJo+, A9o }

So we have an extremely marginal situation and no matter what we do, against unknowns, it's a mistake. The least expensive mistake would be a fold.

I don't think villain ever checks the turn. So if i'm calling the flop I'm looking to get it in on the turn.

It's super rare for a villain to bet into TWO opponents on this type of board and then check the next street. His time to check was the flop.

Disagree with the range, I'd say (and 99/AK really aren't all that likely):
Board: 9c 5s As
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 62.352% 61.06% 01.29% 59848 1263.00 { AhQc }
Hand 1: 37.648% 36.36% 01.29% 35636 1263.00 { 99, 55, AKs, AJs-A2s, KsQs, 9s8s, 9s7s, 95s, 8s7s, 7s6s, 4s3s, 3s2s, AKo, AJo-A2o }

That's kind of my point. So then what turns do we raise? All turns?
