basically if this happens, it will be the site w/ the best advertising that gets the donks.
like tc said, in the past this was party, but it could be any site if this passes. i would hope fulltilt starts some lag advertising as it has the best software imo.

Barry's great, but I wonder if he's been swindled a little with this prediction. Isn't it the job of people in DC to predict they are going to win every battle, all the time? One would expect people who are on his side to predict great success, and to be very persuasive about it, because it is the best way to get undecideds to jump on the bandwagon.

But I wasn't there, and Barry's a bright guy, this is just speculation.

I'm sure it will be less than 6 months before congress realizes that they need to pass legislation contrary to the UIEGA. If it hasn't already happened, it will happen in a few weeks. I don't know how slow the process is and how much debate there will be as to whether there is a different approach that should be taken than the Frank and Wexler bills.

Of course, there is always a chance that they will try to push this off until after the 2008 election, but I didn't get this impression. These sanctions are serious. Also, they wouldn't mind getting some tax revenue that can be used to fund other bills.
