Default 25NL: AK on BTN. Decent read or weak play?

fairly new to table with this being the 2nd orbit. i'm down a few chips from playing a 35s for a blind steal which was folded on the river. MP2 is 11/3/0 with 60 hands and SB seems to be a tad taggish.

Full Tilt Poker, $0.10/$0.25 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 9 Players
LegoPoker Hand History Converter

BB: $29.45
UTG: $20.50
UTG+1: $23.55
UTG+2: $25.70
MP1: $6.15
MP2: $27
CO: $9.55
Hero (BTN): $21.30
SB: $37.80

Pre-Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (BTN)
4 folds, MP2 raises to $0.85, CO folds, Hero raises to $1.75, SB calls $1.65, BB folds, MP2 raises to $5.25, Hero???
raise more here initially? i was thinking $2.55 but did want action from MP2 and thought the SB would leave. surprise!

now that i got action, i'm sure if i want it any longer. i'm thinking MP2 has big pair and i'm concerned about SB's preflop call.

if i 3 bet i make it 3$, in position i like to just call this sometimes.

didn't see his stats, against a pfr of 3 i probably fold to his 4 bet.

i think your 3bet should be stronger, at least $3. this could force SB to fold AQ, AK, or any medium pair, perhaps even JJ

at 25nl its unlikely that MP2 has less than QQ, especially with those stats. SB probably has something like TT, JJ, QQ, AK and wants a flop (remember, at $1.75 it isnt really that expensive). i think this is a clear fold tho.

*grunch*

60 hands isn't all that much, but on a larger sample, it's pretty safe to say you're up against QQ+/AK+ (maybe AQ?). You've gotta decide preflop whether you want SB in or not. If so, there's no harm in calling this raise and playing position. (plus you can get out cheap) If you're raising, raise it up to $2.50-$3.00. After the 4bet, it's a pretty clear fold IMO.

if his raising stat really is 3% then i have no problem just calling here. Even if it is only 60 hands I prob still just call.

I would rule out AQ...

In this case be happy you didn't raise more - cheaper fold.

Yes - fold, imo.

I think this is a fold against someone who is a 3% preflop raiser. In my opinion, cold calling this raise and playing a flop is horrible. If we flop a K, we're likely behind, and if we flop an A, even that might not be safe. If you want to play this hand, shove. I think fold > shove > call.
