I've read PNL as well, people generally don't call those bets in these games.

And I'm plenty afraid of 33/88 or some wonky two pair the second villain smoothcalls the raise.

How has BB won $65 without you getting any read on him?

I would probably 3-bet to $120ish here, you usually will have BB beat, and you want to charge him to see the turn. His line screams flush draw, but could be anything from QTo to QQ to AA from an unknown).

When I get big pockets I want to hit the flop having narrowed down the opponents' range as well as having built a bigger pot than say AQ AT-s etc. Raising bigger PF achieves both objectives. In this case, small pockets wouldn't call your big PF raise OOP.

Most people make standard PF raises to avoid being 'readable', while at the same time don't get a good read on their opponents. If you vary PF raises intelligently enough(depending on position/hand/opponents/your own image), it makes flop play easier because you know better what they've got.
