Default Dan Patrick leaving ESPN

I loved his radio show and thought he was awsome on sportscenter. I am very upset to see him go, because I enjoyed his work so much, but he wants to move on and I respect that.

"I feel privileged to have had this opportunity and I have extremely mixed emotions about leaving. With that said, I told ESPN that I believe it's time for me to try something different, something that will also be challenging and rewarding. While I'm not sure what that will be, I am grateful to ESPN for its willingness to allow me to pursue new endeavors."

I wonder how much he was paid and what his future endeavors will include?

In LA, the ESPN affiliate is beat out by the other station at almost every scheduling window. The only time I would actually listen to DP was when the other station was carrying Rome, and I would still go back and forth. Now that DP is gone, I doubt I will even check out the ESPN station anymore.

His radio show . . . . . . . was terrible, due to all the . . . . . long pauses . . . . . so you could absorb . . . . . how thoughtful his point was.

meh, dude has run his course. he was unbearable on Sportscenter the past few times I saw him. HORRIBLE interviewer as well.

That being said, Kilborner, Patrick, and Olberman were the greats in their day.
