Aces Up $2/$5 Live
$2/$5 $200 max buy in at the Chumash Casino, in Santa Ynez, CA
Villain has been pretty agro both pre and post flop, sometimes in bad spots, but hasn't done anything too terrible. He's been pretty loose pre-flop with both calls and open raises. I've been running good, and have built my stack up to ~$1K, winning a lot of pots without showdowns, but showing down winners in the big pots. I've re-raised him a few times pre, and a few times on the flop, to which he has folded. It's getting late and the game is starting to break, and we're down to 4 handed for about 20 hands or so, with nothing terribly interesting happening. He's cbet every HU pot so far, tonight. He opens on the CO to $25 with ~$500 behind. I CC on the button with A5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and we take the flop HU. Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (~55) Villian checks, I check. Turn: A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (~55) Villian bets $60, I call. River: A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (~175) Villian bets $100 He has ~$300 behind, after his bet. |

"Villain has been pretty agro both pre and post flop,
He's cbet every HU pot so far, tonight." I think a little alarm would go off at the back of my head after flop play and wanna just call... Live players are notoriously weak on boards like this (ie they dont vb enough on them) in my experience. Also if you shove and he doubles, it sucks trying to cover again. |

Re: Aces Up $2/$5 Live
oh ya, i thought it was obvious but, since they dont VB enough on those boards, he probably has something ridiculous (ie some sort of boat or a straight), and if he has air or an equivalent hand (ie one that wont call a raise, such as kk) theres no value in raising

Re: Aces Up $2/$5 Live
Looks like a pretty thin value push to me. You are not getting many (or any?) calls by worse hands. And while unlikely, it is not completely unrealistic that he beats you.

Re: Aces Up $2/$5 Live
Looks like a pretty easy call to me. Your hand is too strong to fold (AJ+ are still in his range) but too weak to push for value, especially since the river is scary for every one of Villain's holdings except the ones that have you beat.

Re: Aces Up $2/$5 Live
Move it in
Can he really fold AK/AQ there? But you so obviously missed a flush draw! Basically I think you have a ton of value, let him find a reason to make a bad call. |
