villain and i have both been playing pretty aggressively, and i've 3bet him a number of times. this is the first time i've cold-called him this session. i think he's reasonably tricky and pretty aggro post-flop, so my plan was keep the pot small and try to pick off a bluff or two. up to this point in our hands i had been raising made hands and draws alike. flame away.

he's 23/20/3 in 250 hands.

if he cr's a decent amount on the turn with a wide range, I don't mind the check, looks good.

Sucks, river is a blocking bet he doesn't have the flush. Make it 200. It should fold out his entire range, except for a goofily played set, straight.

I think this is standard against a player like you described - mix it up, right? Not sure about doing it on a 2-flush flop, though...anyone thinking the river bet might just be a value bet with a made flush? Villain could be thinking hero was drawing and is inviting him to raise into what looks like a blocking bet....

Hard to say the average 2/4 tag is sophisticated enough to apply screwplays often.... This hand looks fine, occasionally bet 1/2 on the turn.

That's what I thought. A perfect hand to keep the small pot with.

making it to $200 makes it so obv you do not want a call.
