I found it funny.
But I think you make a mistake when you essentially play into their little stalling show-and-tell game by saying "What do YOU got?"
I will frequently just turn my cards over anyway even if it's not my turn. Getting information by seeing their cards is nice of course but I'm not going to be that insistent about it. And I really don't care that much about the rest of the table supposedly getting information on me occasionally because most will misread or misapply that information anyway.

I prefer to much face-down when I don't have to show. But it's no big deal if I don't end up doing that for the sake of moving the game along and not having to get into ridiculous discussions like that with morons.

Somewhat related, but certainly not as annoying... why do so many players look at their cards one last time after they've won a pot without a showdown?

dealers and other players who hit on every single remotely attractive girl who is ever at the table. or if they're not hitting on the girl, they're talking in this really patronizing voice and trying to help the girl with every part of the game.
recounting the action of a hand for her or making the same [censored] tired joke (well, if she's in the pot, id better fold) for the 8000th time will not work. SHE IS NOT GOING TO HAVE SEX WITH YOU. just shut up and take her chips.

Slowrollers who think they're funny. I play against this one old coot who flips over one card at a time, the better card last of course. Last time he did that I just raked in the pot. He bitched about it and showed his hand finally. I told him that since he kept the other card face down it was mucked. Of course I was wrong, but I said last time. He doesn't do that any more. Not with me anyway.

I think its so they can either privately think about how good their bluff was one last time, or frustratingly think about whether they should have bet less. I'm sure I've done it in the past, though not for any aesthetic reason.

Not during an MTT, but at my Omaha table last weekend, there was one guy who when he bet at a pot and everyone folded he would show one card that had nothing to do with the flop. Every time. I don't know if he was trying to pretend everything was a bluff, but I was like "no kidding? One of your four cards didn't hit that flop? Awesome bet."

My most hated phrase ever is "pet peeve". Jesus christ it's so [censored] annoying, much more annoying than getting runner runner perfect-ed in a 10K NL cashgame. I feel like a douche even just thinking of it, let alone saying it or titling a thread with it.

Next time, don't be homosexual and just say "Wtf do you hate?"
