I must be having much different experiences than other people. This is never A high IME. It's some BS pair that isn't folding to a raise. You have to call, cuz who knows, but you're almost always losing

I don't really see a river raise looking like anything but a bluff. I'd just call and hope he has a worse ace or something.

BTW, raising the turn is good because you're actually repping something good then.

I don't like a raise anywhere. His turn range is {Jx,7x, maybe some PPs, and weird draws/air}. Only the draws, air, and some of the PPs are folding. Why risk a ton of money when you'll only increase your winning percentage a small amount?

After calling the turn you have to call river.

Calling river is mostly for information and image (have you ever SD A high in a raised pot? Donkeys suddenly give you all kind of action) and there's perhaps some value in it as well.

Raising on the river is spew, villain has a PP or small pair here 90% of the time and will make a heroic call on the river putting you on AK...

A raise on the turn might push him out but I doubt it, people hate folding pairs in 3-bet pots.

I couldnt help myself, these bets are suppose to be blockers but to me they induce bluffs.

So I raised river which is obv. not a great play after I take a step back, if I were to make a mvoe I agree it should be on turn.

On river I just pushed, leaving him with an incredibly tough decision with a lower pair or something facing a huge overbet...but yeah that push involves more balls then brains and probally was not a good one.
