KK facing raise after flop
Villain had just sat down so no read on him.
Texas Hold'em $0.50-$0.50 NL Seat 1: SB ($59.50 in chips) Seat 2: BB ($50 in chips) Seat 3: Hero [KC,KS] ($60.60 in chips) Seat 4: CO ($51.10 in chips) Seat 8: Button ($10 in chips) ANTES/BLINDS SB posts blind ($0.25), BB posts blind ($0.50). PRE-FLOP Hero bets $2, CO calls $2, Button folds, SB folds, BB calls $1.50. FLOP [board cards 6H,7H,4C ] BB checks, Hero bets $3, CO bets $10, BB folds, Hero ??? |

Re: KK facing raise after flop
You need to be making a way stronger flop bet, approximately pot sized ($6). This is a draw heavy board and your hand is vulnerable. By making a weak looking half pot bet you're possibly encouraging villain to raise with a marginal holding. If you pot it you can safely fold to a raise on this board. This spot is probably a fold to without a read.

Re: KK facing raise after flop
Gordy is right.
CO could see that weak flop bet as an invitation to steal. |

Re: KK facing raise after flop
I agree. In retrospect the flop bet is too weak.
I ended up folding. I think it's about 50/50 that he has a set or a weaker overpair than mine. And I really don't like getting all my money in the middle with only one pair in a hand where I don't feel in control. And this one looked like it was going that way... |
