Re: 3/6 with frappeboy
He probably has a lower 2 pair...maybe 3 flush + pair.
I doubt he has (6x)6. He probably lays this down on 3rd because he doesn't think he'll get action if he hits trips. He may even fold a 3 flush on 3rd....but since this is 3/6 with a decent ante...he may call...espically vs you. Anyway...I call down, because I know frappe won't be showing up with (6T)66xxx very often |

You are folding a pair of 6s like ever in a four-handed game when an ace raises against two queen upcards? There's pretty much no way I'm folding this hand at any point unless my opponent beats me on board. -Michael |

Re: 3/6 with frappeboy
I think there is a good chance he is putting you on steal. Second last to act, deadish queen following you. I suspect he has something, but not necessarily the trip sixes. I would raise his double bet and call down if he raised you back.

Re: 3/6 with frappeboy
I think your best line is to just call down. You are either way ahead or way behind. Raising puts you at risk and may even help me from playing my hand correctly.. If you raise and all I have is a pair of 6s you just stopped me from following through with a bluff on 5th-7th... If you get 3 bet its disgusting. So I suggest call 4th/5th/6th/7th and bet anytime I slow down.

Re: 3/6 with frappeboy
And what if you check-raise his sorry ass?
Folks are saying that you won't be playing split Sixes here, which I find hard to believe. Adam's got an Ace and there are two Queens and nothing else out. He's going to be raising with about anything, so you've got to be calling him with a broad range of hands, right? I know I'm playing a pair of Sixes. And I agree that call-down mode is best. |
