Limping is different in tournaments for a couple reasons:
1. BB don't raise limps as often as they do online
2. stack sizes are smaller so keeping pots smaller pf makes for more manueverability postflop.
3. you can't buy back in. and you surely can't buy back into another tourney in 5 seconds like you can online.

I've just played against complete fish and I am really pissed so I had to let it out.

First important hand (stack sizes are 1800 and 1200 with me being chipleader)I limp with J2o (against these kinds of people i just limp with every trash) and flop 2 pairs on J25 board. I overbet knowing he'll call with every possible backdoor draw (and some of them being imaginary too), overcard or pair. He of course calls. Next card is a Tc which makes 2 to a flush. I make a potbet he calls. River card is a Kc and i bet half of the pot. He miniraises I call and he turns AQ for a straight.

Later on after I recover back to like 1700 chips basically same scenario occurs, only that he has QT on A3J5K board and I have AQ.

Ahter this hand I am left with only 400 chips left.

I get 55 and I limp he miniraises it to 60 (blinds are 30/60) I call. Flop comes J5J. I check he checks which pretty much means he had a J since he bets only when he doesnt have a [censored]. I donk bet on the turn (which is a 6) he miniraises I went all-in he calls and shows QJ. River is a Q and he wins the game.

Luckily he sits with me again and this time I win with QQ one diamond on 89J all diamonds board against his 33 (i overbet all-in on the flop)

omg am i going crazy or do tv pros suck at HU? i just watched afew episodes of "national HU championship" on pokertube, and the quantity of button limping made me weep. the commentator made me laugh when he criticises someone for raising a medium strength hand on their button (todd brunson perhaps? cant remember too tired), saying they should have limped it.

also, i know its easy to say when you can see the cards, but i saw some horrible calls.

anyone else watch this who can explain to me why they do not have a huge button limping sized fundamental flaw in their play style? i know button limping can be fine, but not when villain is supposedly world class surely?

Yeah, some of them suck. Watch the final if you haven't already - I mean there are some ridicolous plays. I also love how every TV commentator always says at any show that any ace OOP is a HUUUUUGE hand HU. I hope that a lot of my opponents listen to these commentators.

Is anyone here antzzor on FTP? You don't have to say anything, but I'd like you to know that I almost [censored] on myself while playing you. I was feeling a bit queasy after I signed up, and was just about to unregister and go to the bathroom when you joined. It was actually lucky that you played me, though, since I didn't have any toilet paper and had to wipe my ass with your $11.

Glad that watching TV is easier than reading a book. I wonder how many of our opponents sit in front of their computer with the full Hellmuth gear on. Playing live, that was like holding a poster saying "I learn poker from TV..... And I suck! ldo."
