Default Please tell me the rationale of why aba played the hand this way

Hand

I admit that I suck at PLO, but I have to ask why anyone would ever 3bet that turn with aba's hand.

Simple answer: aba simply didn't believe that villain would check two pair on the flop. He probably figured they both had Kings but aba had better kickers.

Because he didn't think AA or AK was a signifigant part of Kaibuxxe's range given the flop check and he is ahead of most hands containing Kxxx. It's shorthanded and from what I've seen Kai plays pretty weird so I think it's a pretty standard line that is 100% about value.

I think it's more surprising that KaiBuxxe didn't raise the river. Only AA beats him, and that's 1 combination of cards, which in any case doesn't really match the pre-flop action since aba would normally re-raise unless they're really crappy, especially four handed.

Kaibuxxe thinks it's more likely that aba has aces than that aba will call 80k more with KT or worse.

Aba likely heehaws then folds if Kai reraises the river here. I think the call was fine.
