A pjn recommendation
I just finished reading "We", by yevgeny zamyatin, and have to say it was fantastic. Written in the twenties by a soviet exile, it was the inspiration for orwell's 1984, and often is thought to have helped inspire "the doors of perception". A new translation, by natasha randall, was just published, and i highly recommend you picking it up.
The quote on the cover is "The best single work of science fiction yet written." - Ursula K Le Guin. That is all. pjn |

Re: A pjn recommendation
I still haven't decided whether I like We or 1984 better, they are both good in their own ways. I liked Brave New World a lot too, so I guess I like them there dystopian visions.
