I like turning this hand into a 4bet bluff with a small 4bet to something like $114, his 3bet range esp BTNvBB is prob pretty wide.

Calling is poor, even though we have position his AF is 9 and he will be getting out of line against us and with a hand like ATs we cant take that kind of heat. Look for a better spot and fold or 4bet/fold.

lol at all the PF commentary without anybody even asking about stack sizes

Your line is fine, but you have to felt this sometimes (assuming you're not super deep). Without any history to speak of, I'd probably drop it on the turn too.

I do not like this line with specifically this hand. If he ever shoves with something we are ahead of we are making a mistake by folding to a shove. (And I`ve seeŽn ppl shove with 74o against a small 4-bet). I much rather commit with a good suited ace if I choose to 4bet this against a loose 3-bettor.
(assuming 100BB stacks but I guess that`s implied)

Thats def true but villain doesn't seem like a maniac who will shove with worse than ATs. He seems like a std LAG who knows a decent amount about the game and I think if he shoves we are behind almost every time except maybe a loose 88, 99 shove. It would be a pretty serious level to shove over our 4bet with worse because we are stacking to him with TT+ and AQ+ and he knows that.

4bet this hand and fold is like the worst line you could possibly take and is surely far more horrendous than calling.

BigJim,

I assume ~100BB stacks.

4bet/call isn't that bad.

I don't mind this hand.

You shouldn't advocate calling with hands like ATs in 3-bet pots to an online newbie. Start with a tighter range and learn the dynamics of aggressive online games and gradaually loosen up. Starting tangling with very marginal holdings in these spots will be an expensive lesson for sure.
