Raise pre-flop if you want to play, you have the button. Trying to get involved in multi-way pots with these hands (which is an ideal hand ofc) can be dangerous and I just avoid spots like this by calling less.

As always the problems start early - as AJ and kaz and others have said above I prob should've 3bet preflop.

This I should theoretically do more vs loose PFRs anyway.Somethign to think about next time this happens - FWIW I don't call here always.

I would have raised the flop...

me too. I think this is a really good line because a) we have decent (but not great) equity with the nut OESD and 2pr/trips outs and b) we want to FORCE villain to tell us what he plans to do with the hand.

Unsure about this but my instinct says a raise is goot...

One final bump as I think the question of raising earlier here is an interesting one.

I 3bet to $4 pre unless he never folds to cbets.

Flop call is kind of hmm hmm. Do you think you'll be ahead if he checks the turn?

I don't mind a call on the turn, as I can't see too much that you beat calling a raise - maybe AQ? - while he looks quite strong with his ps 2 barrel, and you can induce bluffs a bit too.

river is a good fold i think. he's overbet the pot on a scary board oop 3 times. that's good enough for me.
