Villain put you on AK or AQ. Therefore no big cards on board, his 2s are supposedly still in front.

Still it is a BAD play that will lose money in the long run....on this occasion villain gets lucky and spikes trips.

I remember getting my AA nailed in Amsterdam with 222. The 3rd player had KK. It was $1500 pot or so I remember. This stuff happens and you need to be (bank)rolled for this sort of variance.
