Default Videos freezing up

Any video I try to watch (YouTube, CNN, etc.) locks up on me after just a few seconds. I tried deleting cookies, temp files...well, that's basically all this old guy knows how to do.

All other apps seem to work fine & this problem is only recent (last week or so). I'm running XP on an IBM ThinkPad laptop, if that helps.

Any clue what might be my problem?

Thanks!

Thanks bro, I'll see what I can do. This is my company's laptop - getting autoshoved updates daily and whatnot. I would think that would include MS updates, but who knows. I'll visit MS and give it a try.
