I'd forgotten I'd met Bill Chen during the first week, in the casino. Super nice and unassuming, introduced himself to me.

Not during the WSOP, but at the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Stars, Phil Laak and Jennifer Tilly were amazingly nice. They took pictures and signed autographs for fans for at least 15 minutes, to the point that Phil missed a couple hands because he was late getting to his table.

asked me what happened to my legs, and how I got in the chair.

I really like this part. It's hard for me to picture anyone other than Scotty asking you that as small talk.

Yeah, you can tell that Scotty truly cares about his fellow man.

But she's gorgeous, so that helps.

very thinly veiled brag here...

also, on topic, i havn't met any of the big pros, but i've played wth varkonyi's wife, who seemed very nice, but very quiet, and hachem's brother, who was very chatty and loud and friendly. don't know if you count them, but i also played with prahlad friedman, who didn't really say anything, and h@ll, who was pretty friendly and chatty

Me and some friends went to the WPT event in Niagara Falls.

I passed Freddy Deeb in the hallway as he had just busted out. He had just bought a cup of ice cream and was eating it as he walked. I recognized him and said "Freddy Deeb!" and he smiled and said "Hey buddy" and gave me one of those guy half-elbows to the ribs - he's like 5'0".

We went to the Dragonfly nightclub (wow, highly recommend), and saw Mike Sexton mingling with some young asian hotties. We bought him a Coors Light which he actually drank, smalltalked a bit about Niagara Falls and got a picture with him. Really nice guy but exactly the same as you'd think he is by how he acts on TV. It's sort of hard to explain but it's as if there's an extra-thick layer of non-compassion between him and you... I'm rambling.

Can't believe I get a mention in this thread :-)

I haven't had a problem with anyone this year. If I have to single anyone out, I think I'm in love with Cyndy Violette [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Blair Rodman sat to my left for the 1500 six handed event. Someone asked if he was a pro and he said yes. He chatted it up seemed like a really cool and laid back guy. Was happy to see he won a bracelet. I also ran into Clonie Gowen at the Fontana Bar at the Bellagio and she was as nice as nice could be. Does she count as a pro though!? haha. just kidding...
