I couldn't see him having much here other than maybe 88 or axd. But with axd I don't think he leads out on the turn which is why I just flatted plus I have outs to a made flush. Either way do I need to shove turn to get rid of ax with one diamond? As played fold to river shove? Thanks in advance.

Yah I usually bet 2/3rds or so here but I've changed my standard flop bet to be ~1/2 after watching some of the top players, not sure which I'm liking better yet.

Read Bonds part 10(?) post on bet-sizing, talks about not just having a standard c-bet but varying it according to the texture of the flop. It's really good.

I generally do change bet with accordance to texture but a couple of the top players I've been following say to keep it fairly standard no matter what, which doesn't seem to make sense to me. I guess I was just trying this approach out for this week to see if I like it and I guess as played it did get me action I probably wouldn't have otherwise. He held 8h6h and made a running gutshot.

As for the hand... any reads on guy?

2000-2200 on flop i'd say then shove turn.

I wouldn't be worried about the straight to be honest, remeber that's a river gutterball.

Villains line really does look like a flush but can anyone ever fold top set here vs an unknown? I don't know if i can.

Yeah i used to hear that alot, to keep it the same to disguise your holding. What bonds thing talks about is changing the bet purely to the board texture not to your holding so in respects to disguise works the same.

Tough beat, you can't do anything against that. I think generally i just try and get it in by the turn.
