Default Las Vegas - Where to play

Hi,
not quite sure if this is the right forum but ill post it anyways, mods can move it if it isnt right.
Ill fly to las vegas in 1-3 month for a week and plan on playing a lot of poker. Ive been there like 7-8years ago when i was <21 so i don't really remember that much about pokertables. Now to my main question:
What casino/time to play in? I'm looking for Full ring 1/2$ tables as fishy as possible
Also id appreciate any advice about tipping and whatever else there might be to consider. Itll be the first time ill play in a casino.
thanks in advance

Most of the 1/2 games are going to be pretty fish wherever you go. Stay away from bellagio and wynn b/c they dont' have 1/2. Most of the other casinos will.

I usually tip $1 no matter the size of the pot, $2 if I win a big one.

Brick & Mortar is probably a better forum for this.

I played a lot at the MGM when I was in Vegas last year and liked it alot. Lots of 1/2 games and a fast, friendly waitstaff.

The "Brick and Mortar" forum is where this should go. But you'll probably get flamed for asking this question yet again, so I'll just answer it here.

As already answered, consensus is that any 1-2 game in Vegas will be fine. Read this thread, found in the stickies in B&M, which contains all the basics of what to do a live pokerroom as a noob.

Best of luck.

The best room for the lower limits you are looking for is probably the Excalibur.

I just got back from the MGM and loved it and the nl was very juicy there. I don't think you have a hard time finding a good 1/2 game in Vegas. Stay away from Cesar's if you don't have a big roll they are uncapped there.

Capped buy in these days, right? $200.00 for a 1/2 game?

Also, are the tables raked or is there a time charge? IIRC, at Foxwoods the limit tables were raked but the NL tables had a time charge.
