Sunday Million Hand - posted in other MTT too, didnt know which
OK, sorry it's unconverted, the guy who had AQ had seemed pretty bad before, stabbed at bad pots and couldnt make fantastic laydowns, playing behind quite a bit.
Now my question is, I think he has to stab any pot w/ AK, any draw, any pp, etc., to isolate for the 90k dead chips, friend says he raises a Q or better only... guidance please good players =/ PokerStars Game #11081071809: Tournament #55435239, $200+$15 Hold'em No Limit - Level XIV (1500/3000) - 2007/07/22 - 20:19:32 (ET) Table '55435239 165' 9-max Seat #6 is the button Seat 1: pilgrim2 (28404 in chips) Seat 2: PrimordialAA (83858 in chips) Seat 3: NestOfSalt (51369 in chips) Seat 4: BustRNuts (35282 in chips) Seat 5: ylpimp (109426 in chips) Seat 6: Zecke (43338 in chips) Seat 7: zippy52 (283255 in chips) Seat 8: tortuga0981 (76730 in chips) Seat 9: Nielis90 (22910 in chips) pilgrim2: posts the ante 300 PrimordialAA: posts the ante 300 NestOfSalt: posts the ante 300 BustRNuts: posts the ante 300 ylpimp: posts the ante 300 Zecke: posts the ante 300 zippy52: posts the ante 300 tortuga0981: posts the ante 300 Nielis90: posts the ante 300 zippy52: posts small blind 1500 tortuga0981: posts big blind 3000 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to PrimordialAA [Jh Js] Nielis90: folds pilgrim2: calls 3000 PrimordialAA: raises 14500 to 17500 NestOfSalt: folds BustRNuts: folds ylpimp: folds Zecke: folds zippy52: calls 16000 tortuga0981: folds pilgrim2: raises 10604 to 28104 and is all-in PrimordialAA: calls 10604 zippy52: calls 10604 *** FLOP *** [Qd 3d 9s] zippy52: bets 23000 PrimordialAA: raises 32454 to 55454 and is all-in zippy52: calls 32454 *** TURN *** [Qd 3d 9s] [2d] *** RIVER *** [Qd 3d 9s 2d] [8c] *** SHOW DOWN *** zippy52: shows [Qc Ah] (a pair of Queens) PrimordialAA: shows [Jh Js] (a pair of Jacks) zippy52 collected 110908 from side pot pilgrim2: shows [Kd Kh] (a pair of Kings) pilgrim2 collected 90012 from main pot *** SUMMARY *** Total pot 200920 Main pot 90012. Why did you raise so huge preflop the first time round.

7500 in there, I knew zippy's calling semi-light, but even if I didnt throw that extra 2500 on there after a limp it should be about 15k should it? like maybe 13.5?

Re: Sunday Million Hand - posted in other MTT too, didnt know which
Well 12k would be a standard reraise amount here, which also would have reopened the betting so you could shove to isolate as the hand went (zippy coldcalls, pilgrim repushes, you shove to isolate, zippy folds)
Postflop is really hard without reads, i mean some players loooove to check it down without a sidepot because in general randoms think its correct to check it down without a hand. On the other side, he might just have 88 and trying to get HU with the other dude, so its tough. I hate folding so i probably play it the same as you did readless, but from playing with zippy you might be able to get away from it. |

Re: Sunday Million Hand - posted in other MTT too, didnt know which
so do you really think he's betting into you on that flop with less than a Q? i think not. pilgrim's limp-shove represents i think either KK or AA like everytime. assuming zippy knows this, he knows he's probably behind in the main pot and therefore has no reason to push you out of the side pot to get heads up.
