I wouldn't recommend Slashdot for security announcements lol.
It's not surprising tho, many OEM setups are littered w/ crap. This is only adding one more vuln to the already atrocious windows plague known as IE6. Obv, removing the ActiveX Control would be better than leaving it there, but it's kind of like locking one car door or rolling one window up while leaving your vehicle unattended w/ the keys in the ignition in a high crime area.

Good post, tho...might convinve some people to check all their ActiveX Controls and realize they have way more than they thought they did [img]/images/graemlins/ooo.gif[/img]
