Antonio Banderas as "El Mariachi" in Desperado (1995)

(I dit it!! I posted a pic!! WOOT!!)

One of my all-time favorite tough guy characters. "El Mariachi" has it all - tough as nails, fearless, carries a wickedly cool guitar case of guns, and can kill a roomful of bad guys and snap a man's neck at will. A complete man's man. He is also incredibly good looking with hair that says,"I am perfect looking but I don' give a f.. because I am such a badass". The character also has an appealing softer side as he has a love interest and shows a little boy how to play guitar. It gives the character more depth and makes him more appealing. The voice is just a perfect blend of tough and sexy. Oh, and he is a musician to boot.

However, there is just something missing that prevents him from an almost perfect score. However, I can't place what it is. Maybe he is just a bit too good looking for the role.

Positives: Kill's bad guy's with style. In the bar scene, you just can't help but think, "he is so f'ing cool". Great eyes and hair. Mysterious and dangerous looking while also looking sexy.
Negatives: Something lacking. Maybe a bit too modelish for the character.

I really want to enter this now. I think I have a winner.

I'm hoping they are saving it all for the deeper rounds, because so far the submissions suck.

Did you hear there's an opening? Jump out of the stands and onto the field...talker.

Guys I'm fading. I'm off to bed I think.

I believe we're still waiting for VR to score MissT's El Mariachi. Once she has given her score for MissT we can move on.

Up next, whenever you guys are ready

No problem Wookie. Post at your convenience. I'm off to bed anyway.

Ok Utah says yes to letting late comers join the party. Anyone object to it or can I add their name to our list? Since we're still in the first round it's probably not a big deal.

I'm having a hell of a time finding a picture that is worthy of posting .

Ah, see, we male internet users have extensive experience in the art of locating images of attractive people.

If it matters, I am also perfectly fine with letting more people in during the first round.

Agree. We should ax more than one per round. I'm thinking 2-3 first round. No more. I should have made you moderator as I seem to be having trouble making decisions and am stressed by my job. (also, can't find a freaking male film character who would impress anyone right now.)

Adding Glo and GeraldGiraffe (if he ever comes back into the lounge). Please wait until your name is called.
