Re: Weekly Edition of \"Is this guy a douchebag?\"
Does he consider these guys friends?
People don't treat friends this way. He agrees to do them this favor and look up some tickets for them and decided to take advantage of their ignorance and flat-out rip them off. He f'ing knows that these guys were willing to pay 'up to $75 if necessary.' I would never do that to friends of mine. Reason: I'm not as big a douchebag as this guy. |

Re: Weekly Edition of \"Is this guy a douchebag?\"
Um, aren't the tickets going to have the price printed right on the front? When confronted, is Max going to lie and say that $300 was as cheap as he could find for those seats?
Even if you think he's only skirting the line of being a dick - I think a little juice is ok, but not this obscene amount - then he's going to have to either tell them he ripped them off, or cross over into full-blown liar mode. Either way, not a good guy. |

Re: Weekly Edition of \"Is this guy a douchebag?\"
price on the tickets doesn't matter at all when he wasn't paying face-value for them in the first place off of e-bay.
Have you guys ever bought from a scalper before? |

What a douche.
It's not like they're rolling in the dough as cooks at a restaurant. This is even more heinous because of that. |

Super douche.
Especially since money obviously matters more to the employees than him. |

Re: Weekly Edition of \"Is this guy a douchebag?\"
Major dousche.
Those illegals probably work their ass off all day for Max so his restaurant can run smooth, and he [censored] them over like that. As someone that is a restaurant manager and works with illegeals, this really pisses me off. If anything, Id probably just buy the tickets for them out of pocket if they are that cheap as a thank you, it will make their year. |

Re: Weekly Edition of \"Is this guy a douchebag?\"
Seriously.
If they work as hard for him as I suspect they do then buying the tickets for them as a gift or giving them to them as a discount would be entirely appropriate. |

Tickets to a yankee game is like the Nectar of the Gods.
Sweet, Tasty, Enlightning. 4 yankee tickes for 300 .... well worth it. PS..... Bronx = Smelly, Stinky, Dirty, Scummy, Prog gonna get Raped, Robbed, Mugged, Shot, Stabbed, Pee'd one Pooped on. Scum of the earth type stuff in the Bronx That said Yankee Stadium is still heaven surrounded by hell and I would pay 300 to go see a game if I had to. P.S. Again.... Max is a douchebag |

[ QUOTE ]
What would you charge for the tickets? [/ QUOTE ] Question is moot. Price had already been negotiated. He could be generous and offer a rebate, but I don't think he is a douche if he doesn't. Personally, I would have just advised them on how to go about finding tickets for the best prices. In course of time those sorts of gestures get repaid many times over. If Max ever needs a favor he's gonna get charged. |
