two two pairs
Both hands occur in the Foxwoods 5/10 kill game. In one of these hands, I check/call the river and in the other I check/fold. I won't say which.
Hand 1: Just sat down and got right in the natural big blind. There is a full kill on in UTG+1, which means we go to 10/20 this hand. No reads in particular but assume this is a standard passive-aggressive loose small stakes game. Villain is neither Asian nor wild looking. Hero has 76 offsuit in the BB. UTG+1 (killer) checks, 3 limpers, SB calls the $10, Hero completes BB to kill for $5 more. Flop (6 players, 6 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Killer checks out of turn and a couple others check before I get a chance to defend my action but it doesn't check through and dealer says "oh yes, action starts here" SB checks, I bet, killer calls, all others fold. Turn 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 BB, headsup) I bet, he raises, I call River 10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (8 BB) Hand 2 : No kill so it's regular 5/10. Raiser in this hand could have a pocket pair or two high cards. Everyone is fairly straightforward (I'm not saying good) postflop. Hero limps red 44 UTG. 1 limper (villain), MP raises, 2 coldcalls, BB calls, Hero calls. Flop (6 players, 12 SB) 6-5-3 rainbow BB makes a stutter bet, hero raises, villain coldcalls, others fold, BB calls. Turn (3 players, 9 BB): 8 putting up 2 spades BB checks, hero bets, villain raises, BB folds, hero calls River (13 BB): 8 no flush obv. |
