I would 4 bet preflop 100% of the time vs this villain.

Edit: Not to mean that I know this villain I just know his type (I've been playing 22/18 lately)

I could see 60% maybe even 75%, but 100% seems absurd. I can't see this being good.

I 4-bet most times... add to the fact that it was a 2.5 open makes villain's 3-betting range even wider.

calling preflop is awful.

I have a hard time picturing you folding this hand to 3bet from a 22/18 as aggressive as your advice is most of the time. 4betting was my first instinct.

4betting>=calling>folding...but although I initially hated the entire HH, I slowly fell in love with the post flop play. villain isnt retarded..if we get it in we are behind like always

Voice of reason.

I'm 4betting PF.

Mr. D: I agree. Against "this type" of player I'm 100%. I would not however 4bet against every villain "type".

I am pretty aggro in general, but definitely slow down in spots. Like I said initially, I don't mind a 4bet to $275 and calling a shove, but I think doing that always is excessive. Maybe do it 100% with KK+ and 50% with AK.

What is this "type" of villain? I don't think a 21/17 is crazy or stupid. Actually, I'm willing to say that some of the better players have stats like that.

I've been playing this way and at times it feels pretty crazy and stupid.

You gotta admit that it is pretty damn LAG for FR. AKs has to be way ahead of his 3 betting range.

I hate cold calling a 3 bet and folding just seems like a waste of a great +ev spot.

And when I said I would 4 bet 100% of the time I meant against this type of player, not vs any type of player...in case it wasn't clear.

What are you gonna do the other 50% of the time, fold????

That just seems like such a waste of a +++++ev spot.
