Official Title is Killer Poker Short-Handed. A sample copy from the publisher arrived today and I placed a stocking order. From reading the intro it does appear to be NL based

I thought there was only one chapter related to NL...at least that's what a previous thread said. Killer poker online was a pretty bad, bad book so I don't expect much from this at all.

Does Tony use MCU notation in all the hand examples, like he did in Killer Poker by the Numbers? If so, then I predict this book will sell less than a dozen copies.

MCU notation confused the hell out of me while reading Killer Poker by the Numbers. Part of me wants to go back and re-read it, but I know I never will and MCU notation is the reason why.

This sounds deterring. But what exactly is MCU notation, and I'd like to bump the question: does he use it in this book?

I just got this book yesterday, courtesty of my significant other, and your information seems to be incorrect. Except for one chapter on short handed limit hold'em, the rest of the book is devoted to various scenarios for short handed no limit hold'em.

I second the first question.

This brings up a pet peeve of mine. When someone is bringing up a subject for the first time in a post, it is common courtesy that they not use acronyms or abbreviations.

It would have been nice for you to tell us what MCU stands for. If you had done that, I might have been able to tell you if it is used in this new book.

As it is, MCU to me stands for Mike Caro University.

MCU is Mike Caro University and it's the way Caro posts hands in his books. It's difficult to read and nothing like the way we are used to seeing hands posted here. Even the author of "Killer Poker by The Numbers" semi-admitted it was a bad idea to post the hands that way.
