Villains both unknown, only played a few holdem hands so far. I figure i cant give up on the flop yet, and a call obv sucks if i am caught in the middle. So i checkraise. The turn is pretty ugly and i decide to just check/fold. Standard? Or is the flop already spewy? |

Re: 88 capped pot, flop+turn decision
my only issue with the cr on the flop is that there's no way anyone is folding. And then you're still on a mission to dodge some 12 cards minimum. I'd like it a lot more if the T was a 7 or 6, and you had a redraw. Turn is an easy fold.

Re: 88 capped pot, flop+turn decision
...........equity
Hand 0: 23.422% { 8d8h } Hand 1: 28.991% { 77+, 6d6h, 6d6s, 6h6s, ATs+, KQs, KhJh, KsJs, AJo+ } Hand 2: 47.587% { JJ+, TdTh, TdTs, ThTs, AKs, AhQh, AsQs, AKo } I don't like the flop c/r. I'm having trouble wording this but basically if you're lucky enough to be ahead here the c/r is only going to clean up maximum 3 cards because button and CO will be sharing outs. the only better hand you might get CO to fold is 99 or the other 88. peel, pray for a brick, and get out if it starts getting crazy |

Re: 88 capped pot, flop+turn decision
Yeah yourface nailed it IMO. By checkraising the flop you're putting ozwald on AK but then what do you want to fold from teekki? And being ahead of both will be a decent parlay.
