Default Getting check raised on river is tough

Villain is somewhere between a nit and a tag running at 17/12/2.1 over a good sample. Over a nice sample (7k hands), he has never check raised the river, which makes the decision harder imo. I also know him for being spewy postflop, getting stacked very thin sometimes. What do you do here?

Further to earlier responses I don't like the river bet. I think a check or a shove are both far superior with the former option being my preferred choice here if he stacks off thin. I would only shove if I was confident he would fold QQ+ maybe even a set. I think you're probably good a decent portion of the time though and there is simply no value to be gained on this board against a 17/12.
