The difference is that when dmk is the seer and you weren't, you just cost the village greatly.

I think the risks outweigh the rewards. Lynching a villager isn't a travesty, and when you make last second plays, you gamble.

Luckay:

Here's the biggest flaw with your plan, beyond the obvious: when one (or worse, both) of the people I cleared as villagers are actually wolves, and the wolves eat me anyway.

Do you not see why this is a huge advantage for the wolves? It's only day 2 - they can let the seer get one free peek if it clears one or more wolves. This is the ultimate situation for a wolf team, and one that will win games.

I'll point you to whichever average speed game kbar got eaten late as seer and had practically cleared soah. That was huge, and is a major reason soah didn't get lynched as a wolf.

Also, in Pogglesworth: they ate MDD who had spent days yelling about kyro being a villager, when he was a wolf. They ate MDD, we all cleared Kyro, wolves win.

It only takes one foolish villager mistake like this, and a ballsy wolf team with room to maneuver to [censored] over a village.

This is ignoring the potential downside of a villager redirecting a lynch at the last minue, which is a massively pro-wolf situation anyway. HINT: often the first person to pick up more than one vote after the roleclaim is the one to go. Wolves will just pile on whichever villager looks likely, and the rest of the village follows. It doesn't even make the wolves look bad, because they were trying to save a seer.

[ QUOTE ]
would you agree that it's a good tactic to make once every three months or so?

[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, it's a spot tactic. Meh. Probably less than every three months (long-game wise).

One of out about 100 games, I think there's a spot where you can gamble.

Also, about Luckay, Stephen, Luckay was getting lynched there ANYWAY as a wolf. If Luckay ever brings a lynch on himself BEFORE he's actually getting lynched, he's probably a villager.

And yes, seer hints aren't FPSing. We went over that. However, I think it has similar objectives.
