20/180 early AJ resteal

Villain in hand had raised the previous two hands, showing 65o and A5o. He seemed pretty bad. I don't have a lot of experience with reraising from the small blind, and then his rereraise just confused me.
What should my plan be for this hand? based on the previous hands I considered check/pushing the flop, but that's kind of a stab in the dark. His check behind was surprising too.

Thoughts?

Preflop is tough. I would probably just call the minraise and play some poker. If he's bad, he's often not folding to a reraise (especially a small one) when he's already put chips in the pot. You don't really want to bloat the pot out of position with a marginal hand when there's a good chance he's calling.

As played, I would try to get to showdown cheaply. His check behind on the flop could mean a lot of things, but my first thought would be that he's slowplaying something big--especially given the board. Hope to check it down.

raise to 500 and push any flop

I think I would have pushed all in, but I was really confused about it. I think given the player it might even have been best to push preflop - if I think my hand is good enough to call the extra 200, I just don't really have enough of a stack left to be able to make good decisions out of position.

Villain min raises preflop, cold calls your raise and then checks on flop. Then bets very little on turn... looks like a BIG hand. Could be aces, or trips... he is trying to make you hang around.

Preflop... I don't like the raise this early in this tournamnet a lot of donks around who are calling with crap and you are certainly not getting hands better than your to fold.
I would call and evaulate flop.

As played, I think you should bet into the flop to see were you stand.

On turn his bet to me looks like real strength, its tough because odds almost compell you to call, but if you do your gonna face heat on the river and be faced with a tough decision.

Overall It's too early to making advannced plays with AJo.

I'm not sure why in the world we're trying to resteal out of position, committing 30% of our chips at the 25/50 level in the first place, regardless what hands he's shown before.

He could very well showed you trash so you would come after him out of position with a weak hand. If that's what he was trying to do, it worked like a charm.

Many times you resteal because you're out of position--you want to end the hand right there.

Are you saying he should fold to the minraise preflop?

ok, based on the way opponent played the previous two hands, (minraising in with bad hands, taking any piece of the board to showdown very weakly), I'm pretty sure I'm ahead. However, the fact that in those two hands he called down with bottom pair makes me want to take the hand preflop. However, his re-re minraise was just so weird and new that it paralyzed me.

Perhaps I'm making this a little too player specific, but if he just calls my reraise, should I be leading the flop and folding easily to a raise?
