Since when are W2's and income reports based on anything except Jan 1 - Dec 31st in casino table games departments?

ALSO, that number in INSANELY scewed to the high side. They are taking the high limit dealers who are working many 12 hour days, 6 days a week and using that as the income figure for "average income" for the dealers.

No matter how much or little someone is making, telling someone you now are forced to give upwards of 20% of your income to someone else besides taxes is just not right. It's stealing IMHO.

Agreed. Casinos just refuse to pay the employees, in non tipped positions, what they are worth. If a casino is going to stick a bartender in a service bar where they have no chance to get tips, they should be paying them instead of making the waitress pay them. Making one employee pay another one is absolutely ridiculous. I can understand the tip sharing in the table games because it's not fair to the guy who is a great dealer, deals all games, and gets stuck dealing pai gow and mini bacc every day where the tipping is next to nothing, and joe lumpy dealer who only dealers Bj gets to deal the best game for tips.

I'm under the assumption that they're going off a manual calculation done by using the tip boards over the course of a calendar year. Since this just came up, I figure they could've done May05 thru April06, June05-May06 or July05-June06.

Yeah, I was gonna note before but will do now for the perusers of this thread that the 100k # is SICKLY high.

For everybody - The salaries of tables games dealers on the Strip vary by an insane number, and it pretty much goes by the quality of the house... the high-end joints (Bellagio, Caesars, V, Wynn) make scads more $$$ than those at the lesser houses, such as Excalibur. I think pit dealers there are lucky to break 27k on the year, if that.

So the 100k is quite the anamoly.

Places like Hard Rock, Palms, and Mandalay should have good tables games numbers as well.
