$33 turbo rebuy to $1M guaranteed ($1000 seat) 11 left 8 get seats
$33 turbo rebuy Saturday night to the $1M guaranteed this past Sunday. Top 8 players get the $1000+50 seats and 9th place gets $480. Down to 11 players with blinds at 3K/6K and ante of 300.
There are 5 players at my table with a short stack of 5000. There are 6 players at the other table and two of them have stacks of about 7000. I have 21000 after posting the BB. It is folded to the SB who goes all-in. He did this the last time I was in the BB and I folded. I have AJ suited this time. Is this a call I should make with three short stacks out there and the blinds this big? I have SB covered so it is 15000 for me to call. I guess the SB range could be any two at this point in the tourney. Call or fold?

The consensus is what I thought it would be. I was actually the SB in this hand and made the push with K4 figuring the BB would fold all but the best hands and might fold any hand. Obviously I was wrong.
Is the push in that spot a bad play? I could have folded but the blinds were getting huge and getting the blinds in this hand would have just about guaranteed me a seat. I don't see how I can fold there and I guess if I am pushing with K4 I should be pushing with just about any two. Thoughts on my push from the SB?

[/ QUOTE ] Pretty sure it's bad considering 3 people at your table have less than 1 BB. You just need to have one chip at the end. (I can't wait for Adanthar to read this, because he's an expert on satellites AND he's as sarcastic as I would be if I were.)

You (the SB) have 18K (if you fold) and an orbit to go before you post again, with 7 people AI in the blinds between now and then.
I would fold aces here. I would also fold aces in the BB, but who cares whether *he* sucks at poker, they all do.
