AA on KJ8 board, 5/10
The villain in this hand is kmoneyk10. He is very lag from my experiences with playing him. Anyway here is the hand.
Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $5/$10 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter) SB: $222.00 BB: $1,055.00 Hero (UTG): $1,106.50 CO: $802.00 BTN: $1,941.00 Preflop: Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 Players) Hero raises to $30.00, CO folds, BTN calls $30.00, SB folds, BB calls $20.00 Flop: ($95) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 Players) BB checks, Hero checks, BTN bets $80.00, BB folds, Hero raises to $280.00, BTN raises all-in to $1,911.00, Hero... i played it backwards on the flop for a reason, thats not the question. With my hand so underrepped on the flop, am I good often enough here getting almost 2 to 1 to call? |

Re: AA on KJ8 board, 5/10
You have 28% against KJ and there are alots of draws so think you should call.
edit: Just bet flop. |

at least 35 pre [/ QUOTE ] Seriously? OP, What the hell did you expect to happen when you decided to CR? One can only wonder what your mysterious reason for CR'ing the flop was if it isn't to snap-call this. |

Re: AA on KJ8 board, 5/10
Fold. Against a strong flush draw you are not really ahead, and you cannot improve because you have the Ace of clubs. Against a set, you have a big problem and are way behind.
He could have a very strong draw, a very strong hit, or a medium hand. It is true that he does not know you have aces but he could also be afraid of AcKc and instant push because he is afraid of your hand (AcKc or AcQc or AK) and wants to protect his hand that is obviously stronger than your hand at this point in time... |

Re: AA on KJ8 board, 5/10
He should repop KK/JJ (88) if he is very LAG, I don't think he has a set.

Re: AA on KJ8 board, 5/10
This is KJ/88/combo draw (QcTc, Qc9c etc) just about every time. It's not a dry one pair hand, and thus you are not in good enough shape to call. Fold. I also agree on raising more preflop.

You shouldn't be check/raising here if you aren't planning on snap calling.

i played it backwards on the flop for a reason [/ QUOTE ] If the spot where you stopped the action is tough for you, then whatever reason you had probably sucks. |
