Default Short handed NL - Short Stacking strategy...Viable?

Most of the info i have seen on playing a short stack in cash games has been at full ring...but would it be useful for players dipping their toes in at 6 max tables too?

GREAT question.

It might be -- at the least it would prevent you from losing a lot in one sitting. But it might not be profitable. One of the holes in the SSS is blind contention. In a full-ring small-stakes B&M game, you're just never going to see that many hands folded to the cutoff or button.

So playing the SSS isn't wrong, but you may want to experiment a bit with "stealing" blinds from the button or cutoff, which takes on much more importance at 6-max.

the shortstack strategy from full ring cant be copied 100% to 6max. you have to adjust to the fact that blinds will eat you up before you can make your move
