Randon Shuffle on various sites. How do they work?
I have heard that Stars shuffles the entire deck and hold it prior to the hand whereas FT has a constant shuffle throughout the hand. I think this means the RNG goes to work for the hole cards, then a reshuffle happens for the flop, reshuffle turn, etc. Is this true?
If FT does that then you should never feel bad about folding a hand that catches up since you probably would not have gotten that flop/turn/river anyway. At least believing this keeps me off tilt when I fold a winner. Yeah I know that's results oriented, but we all do it somewhat. Anyone know more about this? |

I don't know. This thread could probably use a pole.

OP - Yes, you are correct, generally speaking. If you call, fold, or wait 1 second longer, a different card(s) will (probably) hit the board on FT. No point in rabbit chasing there, as you'll just have to make up pretend hands as the board would be very different had you called.

Does anyone think that there is any real difference between set shuffling and continous shuffling? From what I read continuous shuffling is more prevalent at poker sites.

I cannot think of a test that would allow us to determine which was the case, so as far as I am concerned they are equivilent.
